Bulova is a brand that began in the USA, and it has a good reputation, although I had one that quit on me. Joseph Bulova founded it in 1916 if I recall correctly. Now, it is Swiss. compared to my watches, Bulovas are cheap, but some people consider them costly. A leather strap with gold buckle for my Patek Philippe watch cost $750 about 10 years ago, and the whole watch cost $10,800 then or $13,850 now. My Piaget "Polo"cost $26,100 with gold bracelet. i am not certain about Bulova watches, but not too long ago, I saw some for about $250 to $700 or so. In Japan replica watches and Germany, they sell some some gold mechanical models, but they are not available here in the USA. Bulova is somewaht in the price range of Seiko, Citizen, etc. but costlier than Guess, Fossil, Relic, etc. They are quite inexpensive compared to my Piaget, Patek Phillippe, Vacheron Constantin, etc. models.12/10 EDIT; Bulova was founded in 1919, so I was 3 years off. I just looked in the book I wrote that is now about "600+ RECENT WATCH BRANDS". Models I see in some of my latest almanacs cost $350 to $950. Some gold mechanical limited-editions sold in Germany and Japan but not the USA cost up to the equivalnet of $2750 a few years ago. The best-known brands hat began in the USA are Bulova, Elgin, Hamilton and Waltham, but all are Swiss now.
